A 2.5-mile return hike crosses uneven ground with about 45 feet of elevation gain. The organizer rates it 2/5 for difficulty. Bring water, closed-toe shoes and sun protection. Meet at James Dilley Preserve, not the Nix Nature Center. Weather can cancel the outing.

Booking & availability
Advance registration is required for every participant, including children. Complete the organizer’s waiver; an adult must accompany anyone under 18. Remaining spaces have not been confirmed.
Getting there & parking
$3 per car at James Dilley Preserve. Follow the organizer’s specific driving instructions; space is limited.
